End of Summer Self-Love 🌤️
While we still have until the end of September to see the official end of the summer, it often feels like the last bit of the season is the longest part. Before we all lean into the cooler months, we thought it would be a good time to consider ways we can honor and respect the amazing bodies we have - the same bodies that carry us throughout these sultry days and fight the good fight. Our recommendations for ways to acknowledge, indulge, and celebrate our bodies are below. 💗
Find a quiet green space, which could be a public space or your own secret garden, to just sit with yourself for at least a few minutes.
Slow a sensual act you enjoy doing down. Take at least twice the amount of time to focus on all of the aspects you enjoy and feel into those feelings.
Dance unapologetically to a song, an album, a playlist or the sound of your own damn voice.
Create a free-flowing, open-ended love letter to yourself. Write, draw, collage, paint or use any medium you feel closest to for you to communicate all of the things you love about yourself right now.
Carve out space to practice a new skill or hobby. If you haven’t had the time or motivation to begin anything new, now’s the time. Do something outside of your comfort zone.
If you haven’t already written a “feel good” list, make one. List everything you can think of which makes you feel good and come back to it from time to time when ya need it.
Wear your summer pieces that fully enhance your confidence. Alternatively, enjoy your body all in its own glory and (in private) wear nothing at all.
Plan a pandemic-safe and soul-nurturing staycation for your next chunk of free days.
Go stargazing, bird watching, catch a sunset or sunrise.
Finally, commit to radical self compassion.
It nearly goes without saying that any one of these acts of self care would be incredible to pair with the activity of molding yourself using one of our body safe kits.
Do you have a self care practice that works wonders for you? Especially one we’ve missed above? Feel free to share and send our way - we’re always on the lookout for beautiful ways to celebrate. ✨
