The first step is to create a "negative" mold of your penis. Each kit comes with an algae based molding gel and specially designed molding container that makes the process especially easy. The material is the same stuff you see at the dentists office for creating precise impressions of teeth. You then fill your mold with a state-of-the art platinum-cure silicone; a medically tested, body-safe material that's designed to look just like real skin!  Let it cure overnight to reveal your very own professional grade dildo of your own penis!

If your penis is over 9” long or girthier than average, you will need to use an XL vibrator and may need extra silicone. If you want to make a non-vibrating dildo, you'll definitely need extra silicone.

The molding process can be messy—you are doing a sexy science experiment, after all! That’s why we recommend making your mold in the kitchen or bathroom over a non-porous surface, such as tile, concrete, or wood. Avoid all soft or porous materials, including carpet.

Be sure to use the included stir sticks and never touch uncured silicone with your bare hands. Always use a disposable cup to mix the silicone, as directed in the instructions.

Here are some cleanup tips:

Removing Set Alginate

To remove set alginate from skin or hair, gently peel or roll off as much of the material as possible.

For stubborn residue on skin, use warm water and soap. For residue in hair, saturate the hair with a natural oil such as coconut or baby oil, let it sit, and then gently comb out the softened material.

Removing Uncured Silicone

To remove uncured silicone from your hands, first wipe away as much excess silicone as possible with a dry paper towel.

Then, scrub your dry skin with 99% isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Wash your hands thoroughly afterward with dish soap and warm water. Because these solvents can strip natural oils from your skin, apply hand lotion afterward to restore moisture.

Disposal & Cleanup

Polypropylene Jars & Lids

The jars are made from polypropylene and can be recycled. Before recycling, wipe out any residual silicone with a paper towel or similar material.

The lids are also made from polypropylene and may be recyclable. Because recycling guidelines vary by location, check with your local recycling program to confirm that they accept polypropylene lids.

Used Alginate

Used alginate is fully compostable and biodegradable. It naturally breaks down through microorganisms in soil or compost.

Alginate is not harmful to creatures, but do not wash large amounts down the drain, as it can clog pipes.

Utensils & Bowls

Any utensils, bowls, or other containers used with the alginate are completely safe to use after contact with the material. Simply wash them thoroughly after use.

Thermometer

The small mineral spirits thermometer is not recyclable in curbside recycling bins. Because it is non-mercury, it can be placed in your regular household trash.

Molding Tube

The molding tube is made from PETG, a recyclable plastic; however, PETG is rarely accepted in standard curbside recycling programs because it falls under the #7/Other plastic category.

Most municipal recycling facilities do not have the optical sorting technology needed to separate PETG from other plastics, so it is commonly rejected. Check with your local recycling program for specific disposal instructions.

The expiration of all of our DIY Molding Kits depends on many variables including how they are stored, heat, humidity, etc. Because of this we do not mark an expiration date on our packaging. If the kit is stored properly indoors with normal temperatures (65-75 degrees F) they will last for about three years after the purchase date. If you are ever concerned you have received an expired kit, please contact us directly at questions@empirelabs.com!

We accept returns on any unopened/unused items, purchased directly from our website, within 30 days of the purchase date. We do not accept returns of items purchased through other vendors. Refunds will be processed upon package arrival on the original payment method used; you will receive email confirmation with any details pertaining to your request. Funds may take up to 5-7 business days to reflect on the corresponding account. Unfortunately, all shipping charges are nonrefundable, and return shipping fees are not covered. Make sure to notify staff of an intended return by emailing questions@empirelabs.com.
