We talk a lot about microdosing many things 🍄, but what about romance 😍?

It turns out that seemingly small, intentional gestures can keep relationships feeling revitalized in so many ways without waiting for a big anniversary or Valentine’s Day to come around! While we work on an exhaustive list of ways to microdose romance, please enjoy what we have right now to keep the love flowing:

Time to leave some secret notes. Put your phone down and pick up a pen. Leave a note in their bag, on their mirror, or inside their book, wherever they are destined to find it. Write something sweet, something weird, something only they’d understand. There’s something about handwritten words that hits differently. ✍️

Give a gift, just because.: No reason and no specific occasion, just a tiny thing that made you think of them. A thrifted book with scribbles in the margins. A rock that looks like a heart. 🩶A playlist that tells your shared story. This doesn’t need to be purchased but it 100% needs to be thoughtful.

Pre-warm their sheets. Slide into bed before them just to warm their side, or throw their towel in the dryer before they shower. Luxurious, effortless, 10/10 would recommend. 🥂

Smuggle pocket snacks or set up a late-night feast. Pack their favorite snack in their bag or coat pocket before they leave for the day. If y’all are feeling nostalgic, then build a secret stash of late-night treats to eat under a blanket fort. ⛺

Gamify a surprise date. Take an alternative from dinner and a movie and instead, leave them cryptic clues about where you're taking them. The weirder, the better, and be sure to include a prize at the end. 🏆

Have skin-to-skin check-ins. A spontaneous forehead kiss, tracing circles on their arm, and a lingering hug in the kitchen are all magical micro-moments of touch. 🪄

Recreate a First. This could be your first date, your first inside joke, or your first meal together. Whatever stands out and could be sweet to bring back for no reason other than nostalgia, do it. ☺️
